Annual Reporting requirements for Welsh HEIs

16 November 2018      Emma Keenan, Procurement Specialist

This week the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales wrote to finance directors in Welsh institutions confirming that they would shortly be requesting procurement information for the financial year 2017/18.  The information being asked for will once again cover four areas:

  • Procurement efficiencies in line with specific categories;
  • Progress against best practice;
  • Examples of work being undertaken/completed, as part of implementing the 12
    principles contained in the Welsh Governments’ Code of Practice: Ethical Employment in Supply Chains;
  • Details about Community Benefits outcomes achieved from procurement activity

Full information will be provided by HEFCW in communications to heads of institutions during December and the information submitted by Welsh institutions will be consolidated into an annual report to be sent to the Welsh Government during April 2019. Further information on this can be requested by contacting Karen Wolliner, Senior Procurement Manager.
