HEFCE have released the Summer 2013 edition of their Quarterly Digest, which covers the work of the Regulatory Partnership Group (RPG) on the new Operating Framework, which will be published in August. In addition there is news on the current stage of development of the new Financial Memorandum (FM), as well as on Student Number Controls, European Structural Funds, TRAC, and much more. You can download the digest from the documents page.
In other HEFCE news, the funding council has allocated £3.1 million to a new three-year programme to encourage language study and increase student demand for modern foreign language courses. They have also agreed levels of funding for students engaging in a year of study or work abroad through the Erasmus exchange programme, or study abroad through another route, from 2014-15. A circular letter setting out the finance arrangements for Erasmus and other student mobility years abroad from 2013-14 onwards is available on the HEFCE website.
