Our Job of the Week is for a Deputy Payroll Manager at The Open University in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate "will manage the day to day operations of an office of ten staff". They "will provide support to the Staff Payments & Pensions Manager and have personal responsibility for the monthly payment and reconciliation of third party deductions, including those relating to Court Order. The role holder will also provide support for the administration of the USS superannuation scheme and for managing the University’s PAYE Settlement Agreement."
In addition, the role holder "will have strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, extensive experience of working in a large payroll environment and ideally will have IPP membership. Knowledge of overseas based payrolls would be an advantage but is not essential as is experience of the Resourcelink payroll system and working with Excel". The closing date for applications is Thursday 29th March.
