Making Tax Digital for VAT drafts published for comment

HMRC has issued draft legislation and a draft public notice on Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT. An important point to note is that the documents state that any link between different pieces of software used in the process of compiling a VAT return (including Excel) must be digital rather than manual. Comments are requested on the draft documents by 9 February. BUFDG will be submitting a response so if you have any thoughts you would like to add to this, please let Amanda know by 31 January.
