Last week's tax conference was busier than ever, and as usual our delegates got stuck in to the 38 different sessions with enthusiasm, learning lessons from the past, with colleagues sharing stories of how they have tackled problems faced by many other universities, but also getting a glimpse of the not-too-distant future, considering likely changes to the shape of the HE sector itself, and also how in-house tax functions can best equip themselves using the latest in robotics and artificial intelligence to free up their time from repetitive tasks.
We're currently pulling together a round-up of the content from all these sessions which we will publish next week, but in the meantime you can review the slides from the sessions here and also get a feel for the conference by having a look around the conference's very own microsite. We presented a few Taxi awards again this year, and this year's Nigel Clothier awards for special contribution to university tax went to Andrea Marshall (University of Worcester), Steve Carter (Southampton Solent University) and Caroline Jones (PwC).
