November's Treasury Management Newsletter

29 November 2017      Matt Sisson, Projects and Membership Manager

We forgot to mention it in last week's email so, in case you missed it, here's a reminder of November's investment-flavoured Treasury Management Newsletter. Tim writes…

“We start with our headline article from Triodos Bank, who present a Case Study from the University of Bristol on their plans to divest from fossil fuels and aligning the impact of the Universities endowments to its wider commitment to sustainability. This issue could almost be described as the Andy Playle Newsletter; an update on Bank Ring Fencing is one of three articles from our associate consultant. As we noted in the last issue, we will return to this on a regular basis, as the banks evolve their plans. We have a follow up to Susan Wilkinson's article last issue; this time she covers Cyber Security Risks.

Goldman Sachs hold University and Charity Forums in London and New York each year; Chris Kavanagh has provided a snapshot of the key discussion points for your perusal. Adrian Baily of HSBC Asset Management provides a comprehensive and thought provoking article looking at alternative approaches to Carbon Risk and Portfolio Construction. As a follow up to a recent response to a discussion board question, Andy's second article covers Challenger Banks and the risks of investing with an unrated counterparty.

For all this and more, read the newsletter in full here.
