The joint South West Tax and Payroll & Expenses Group (PEG) is a forum to share knowledge and ideas on all taxes including VAT, corporation taxes, and payroll, expenses and benefit in kind issues that affect universities.

Tax and finance managers responsible for taxation and anyone connected with payroll or expenses and benefits (whether they work in Finance or HR) is very welcome to attend this meeting.  Attendance is not limited to one person per institution. 

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Year end PAYE issues
  • Proposed PAYE legislative changes including RTI and auto-enrolment and the Statutory Residence Tests
  • PAYE and VAT audit activity
  • Current VAT issues including overseas agents and eligible bodies
  • i-xbrl
  • Any other issues you would like to bring to the table

The meeting will run from 10am (registration) for a 10.30am start and will finish at 3pm - a buffet lunch will be available.
