heidi - the higher education information database for institutions
heidi is a new web-based management information tool, developed for the benefit of the HE Sector via a project funded by the HEFCE Leadership, Governance and Management Fund and led by the University of Leeds in partnership with BUFDG and HESA. It is non-commercial.
It includes a series of Key Financial Indicators developed in consultation with BUFDG as well as the entire HESA annual Finance Return for the last five years. It should put an end to searching through multiple CDs and spreadsheets for HE Sector financial information.
heidi is due to launch 16th April 2007 and 71 institutions have already signed up to use it on an ongoing basis. Plans for a 'heidi2' project, to further develop the service further, are already underway.
