The Taxation Group is perhaps the busiest group in BUFDG, dealing with a wide variety of issues including VAT Partial exemption, Direct Tax guidelines, payments to volunteers in research projects and the treatment of VAT on expenditure in EU Framework projects. Membership of the group is:

HE Tax Forum
The HE Tax forum, which is coordinated by HEFCE, was formed in 2007 and involves representatives from BUFDG, HMRC, UniversitiesUK and DIUS. Meetings are held three times yearly and meeting minutes can be found in the Info-Bank. Also available is a list of risks identified by HMRC relating to HEIs - if you have any comments or observations, please post them to the Tax Discussion Board. Annual Tax Conference
