The Energy Consortium (TEC) have released TEC in 5 – Finance Focus, which provides a round-up of recent highlights and upcoming opportunities.
TEC’s Framework, which helps universities to unlock savings and efficiencies, is showcased in the recently published UUK report ‘Towards a New Era of Collaboration’. The report calls for a greater focus on how universities across the UK can work together, share services and assets, and collaborate. TEC’s flexible energy buying programme, which spreads multiple purchases across wholesale commodity markets, is highlighted for helping the sector to cut energy costs.
Details of the 2025 TEC Conference ‘The Power of Less’ which will explore how members can reduce costs, consumption and carbon, have been released. The conference will feature subject-matter experts from across our sectors and the energy industry.
Please save the date and join TEC at the Annual Conference, at Conference Aston in Birmingham on Thursday, November 13th, 2025. It’s free of charge for TEC members.
You can register for the Conference here: Personal Information - The Energy Consortium 2025 - Delegates
Check out the TEC Heating and Cooling Policy Guidance Paper to learn how other institutions have benefitted from introducing their own policies. Based on the learnings from TEC’s Carbon Reduction Survey, they have pulled together best practice advice on how to maximise cost and carbon reductions.
