OfS allocates £1.45bn for 19-20

03 April 2019      Matt Sisson, Projects and Membership Manager

It’s less of an event than it used to be, but the OfS published its allocations for 19-20 on Friday, with £1.45 billion to be distributed to the sector in total. Government gridlock ensures it’s a relatively static budget, with the biggest change probably the big cut to the postgraduate taught funding supplement to £8million. This will now only support students who don’t qualify for postgraduate loans. Elsewhere there’s £713million for high-cost subject funding, and £100million for capital.
