Delays reported at Felixstowe

A combination of Brexit preparations, a backlog of NHS PPE and an increase in retailers importing stock for Christmas are all contributing to delays at Britain’s largest container terminal at Felixstowe, already under pressure as the worst performer amongst competitors in Europe and Asia. Businesses and freight industry groups report that the port is grinding to ‘virtual standstill’. This situation may impact members importing goods into the country over the coming weeks.
