In related news, this seems like an opportune time to make a final call for the Fraud Response course, this time in London on the 11th May. If your institution did suffer a fraud – maybe one like the overseas office fraud above - what would really happen? Is your institution’s fraud-response plan up to scratch? And even if it is, do the right people know about it? Are they trained to follow it?
The course is for those in institutions – normally in management in professional services, whether finance, procurement, HR, or other areas – who may be early on the scene of a fraud or suspicion of fraud, or involved in a response to a fraud or suspected fraud, on behalf of your institution.
It's a hands-on, one-day course that, along with a grounding in HE fraud risks, will provide you with the knowledge and framework to respond appropriately to fraud alerts and reports, and to make the right decisions in accordance with your university’s policies. You will be asked to bring along your university’s policies and response plans on the day and you will be able to test these against real-life HE scenarios and case-studies, visualising in advance how you might respond, as well as understand if changes need to be made to your institutional approach.
