We say a fond farewell to our temporary Employment Tax Specialist, Mike Edwards, who has just left us to properly begin his retirement. We'd like to thank him for all the help he has provided to us and to our members over the past 14 months, and we wish him all the very best in his retirement when, after a lifetime of toiling away in tax, he will finally be able to use his true talents (and qualifications no less!) in pursuing his love of wine. And there might be some travel thrown in too.
After a short break of a month, Caroline Jones, currently a Tax Director at PwC, will be taking over the reins to join us as our new Payroll & Employment Taxes Specialist in October. Many of you will already be familiar with Caroline who has been a long-time supporter of and collaborator with BUFDG, having originally set up our Payroll & Expenses Group network, and being a regular speaker at the BUFDG tax conference. She has over 40 years’ experience in tax, starting her career with what was then the Inland Revenue, before moving into consultancy with Deloitte and PwC. She currently leads PwC’s Reward and Employment team for the West and Wales, working with public, private and not-for-profit sector clients, including a number of universities.
