HEPA Learning & Development and covid-19 - your say

The HEPA Learning & Development Group have been working collaboratively to build a sector programme of training courses.  Unfortunately the face-to-face delivery of the programme has been impacted by the covid-19 pandemic.

The Group met yesterday (17 June) and agreed that, given the events of the past few months, we would like to check-in with HEPA members and ask you three quickfire questions to help inform our plans for the rest of the year:

  1. what are your training priorities now?
  2. has the covid-19 pandemic resulted in any new priorities?
  3. and are there any emerging priorities?

At the meeting the Group prioritised L&D covering the following four topics:

  • below threshold & demand management (aimed at “non procurement” staff in schools and departments)
  • Brexit
  • negotiation
  • contract law (a “back to basics” look at T&C’s, and so on)
