Book your place at the next Payroll & Expenses Group

The next Payroll & Expenses Group (PEG) meetings have been arranged with our hosts, BDO and you can now book your place using links below:

Places are available on a first come, first served basis so please book asap. 

The PEGs are an opportunity to raise, discuss and potentially resolve issues with your peers and experts in a Chatham House environment.  Proposed topics of discussion for this round of PEGs include:

  • Accommodation – removal of ‘customary’ exemption last year and what is now being done; HMRC reviews, information requests, representative occupiers and push back against customary removal for all positions;
  • Vacation bursaries – position of UKRI/NERC on NMW for all payments to vacation students, understanding that position;
  • Off payroll workers – new rules for all HEIs from April 2020 - Status Determination Statements for all contractors via limited companies (no more requests) and dispute resolution processes
  • Working from home – pitfalls & risks
  • Volunteers and NMW – feedback for guidance
