NEW! BUFDG international webpages and discussion board

21 November 2019      Amanda Darley, Head of Operations and Engagement

We are delighted to announce that, along with the extremely successful and useful regional international forums we have been hosting with PwC around the country over the past fortnight, we are also launching a new international section of our website, along with a dedicated international discussion board, on 21 November.

The international webpages pull together all our content from the past two years that has an international element to it, and we will be including all future content with an international angle on these pages as well.

The international discussion board is for you to ask those questions of your contemporaries in other universities regarding international issues where their experiences could be useful, whether it be about payroll, tax, VAT, insurance etc. We hope this discussion board will help you see a wider picture in relation to the issues universities encounter overseas, whether you work in payroll, tax, insurance, risk management, finance etc.

In order to receive updates on what's happening on the international discussion board as part of the daily discussion board email, you will need to make sure you have selected 'international' as one of your interests on the MyBUFDG page (expand the 'Interests' section after Primary and Secondary Interests, about half way down the page, then hit 'Save my detiails' at the top or bottom of the page. While you're there, if you would like to receive the fortnightly tax and payroll newsletter, TaxHE, then ensure that tax or payroll is saved as either your primary or secondary interest.).

We hope the new discussion board will be an extension of the regional international forums which have seen universities sharing thoughts, problems and solutions over international issues during the past fortnight. We're very grateful to PwC for hosting these meetings for us, and were delighted to see so many of our members attending them. We'll be collecting feedback from attendees and organising the next round for the spring shortly.
