Spotlight on Introduction to TRAC

27 October 2020      Amanda Darley, Head of Operations and Engagement

Our recently launched Introduction to the Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) e-learning course is aimed at staff involved in the preparation, compilation, validation, and approval of the Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) data. But it also provides a good overview for senior staff new to TRAC and those becoming involved in TRAC oversight groups or institutional committees with oversight of TRAC.

It sets out the high-level principles of TRAC, what TRAC is used for, and how it is used. It covers:

  • TRAC returns,
  • the TRAC process,
  • governance of TRAC, and
  • using and interpreting TRAC outputs.

If you work in a university which subscribes to BUFDG Pro, you can access this, and our other e-learning courses, via our e-learning webpage.
