BUFDG Support Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team as a part-time Support Officer. You will play a key role in coordinating webinars and online meetings, assisting with e-learning initiatives, and supporting the BUFDG team with general administrative tasks.

The BUFDG Support Officer formally reports to the BUFDG Head of Operations and Engagement, and has no direct management responsibilities. You will work closely with the Learning and Development Manager, the Events Manager, and the Executive Director, but will provide support to everyone in the small team at BUFDG.

This is a role with lots of scope for you to develop and shape it, and also scope for you to develop new skills! The duties and responsibilities of the role are wide-ranging and there will be plenty of variety.

This role will be home based but will include some UK travel, including conferences, monthly BUFDG team meetings in London or Loughborough, twice-yearly PHES meetings in the Loughborough area, and occasional overnight stays.

This is a part-time position, working 0.8 FTE.

We will offer a competitive salary between £26,707 - £30,378 pro-rata, dependent on qualifications and experience. We reward performance and progress, and have previously rapidly promoted employees who exceeded our expectations, based on impressive performance in the role and where they have helped us develop the nature of the role.

A defined contribution pension scheme is offered with 7.5% employee and 16% employer contribution rates, together with life insurance. We offer 30 days’ holiday pro rata plus bank holidays and discretionary days’ office closure. Support for CPD and appropriate training will be given.

We are committed to equality of opportunity, to eliminating discrimination and to creating an inclusive working environment for all. We therefore encourage candidates to apply irrespective of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belief, gender identity, sex, or sexual orientation. You can read our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy online.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact recruitment@phes.ac.uk.

Please note: we do not accept application forms via email, nor do we accept CVs. Applicants must be UK based and have the right to work in the UK.

Applications close at 10am on Monday 18th August. Interviews are expected to take place on Friday 22nd August.
