In this back to basics session Anne Wilson (Tax Director) and Robert Warne (Partner, Head of VAT) from Crowe UK LLP will provide an overview of the VAT and Corporation Tax issues that need to consider when undertaking cultural activities.
Anne is a director in Crowe Clark Whitehill’s Not for Profit unit. She specialises exclusively in tax for charities and the Not for Profit Sector, and regularly writes and lectures on charity tax issues.
In recent years Anne has increasingly advised charities on cultural tax reliefs such as theatre, orchestra and museums and galleries tax reliefs. She also advises a number of major arts charities on gift aid, regularly writes and lectures on charity tax issues.
Robert is a partner in Crowe’s specialist VAT Group. He has extensive VAT knowledge of the not for profit sector specifically in the charity, schools, trade unions sector, and is a regular speaker on the VAT charity circuit.
