Midlands Deputy FD Meeting
31st January 2020
Loughborough University
The next Midlands DFD meeting will now take place on Friday 31st January at Loughborough University.
Room details are to be confirmed.
Registration will take place from 9.30am ready for a 10am start. The meeting will finish around 1.30pm and a buffet lunch will be provided.

Andy Stephens, Finance Director at Loughborough University will be joining at the start to give an update on HE Finance at the moment. If you have not met Andy before he is very engaging and it is a great opportunity to get a different perspective on current HE Finance issues. If you have any particular questions for Andy, let me know and I will put these forward to him.
Kerry Williamson will share her experiences of apprenticeships and training at the University of Nottingham – they are currently training ACCA, CIMA and AAT students in a mix of apprenticeships and employer-funded modes of study.
Keith Humphreys will present on pensions at Staffordshire University - ‘how do you solve a problem like LGPS’.
Ben Heath, University of Oxford has also offered to share experiences operating overseas and the we can discuss global mobility more widely.
Ashley Shelbrooke, will give an update on the priorities for HEPA (Higher Education Procurement Association) and the joint work with the consortia.
I will give a brief update on BUFDG Pro and any other key L&D activities.
