6-8 October 2020
Though we would have dearly loved to have welcomed you to the tax conference in person in June, that obviously wasn’t possible this year. So instead, we’re excited to invite you to our first ever virtual tax conference in October. We’ll be holding sessions over a three-day period from 6-8 October, and we’re looking forward to ‘seeing’ you there.
The conference is aimed at tax and payroll managers/staff, and others responsible for tax in their HEI, but would be of interest to FDs and Deputy FDs, and potentially HR staff as well. We’ll be providing the usual mix of fantastic technical sessions from a great range of presenters, and we’ll also be giving you the opportunity to chat with and get to know your counterparts in other universities, though not in the usual way in the bar (so bringing your own pint is optional!). You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with advisers and speakers in one-to-one meetings or groups. And although there will be no bucking bronco or coconut shy this year, there will be lots going on to keep you engaged and give you plenty to think (and talk!) about.
We’ve spread the conference over three shorter days this year, to make sure you don’t have screen time overload. Each conference ‘day’ will start at 10am and end at 4pm (but there may be additional discussions and social sessions organised for later on each day), with plenty of breaks away from the screen scheduled. You will be able to attend four sessions each day, and watch others after the event.
This year’s sessions will include those noted below but the Full Programme can be found here.

(And remember – for the first time, any that you can’t go to live, you’ll be able to view at your leisure at a later date!)
NB: if you are booking based on a specific topic or topics, please contact us for confirmation of the session before booking, in order to avoid disappointment.
Tickets cost £150 (including VAT) for the entire conference (sessions will all be recorded and will be available exclusively to conference attendees after the event, so if you’re unable to attend every session or even every day of the conference live, you can easily catch up afterwards).
Discounts for additional tickets:
When you book your first ticket and receive your booking confirmation email it will include a 20% discount code for you to share with colleagues at your own HEI so when the code is used on any additional bookings from the same HEI they will be discounted by 20% (i.e. additional bookings will cost £120 inc. VAT when using the code). Therefore, if you have several bookings to make for your HEI, ensure you book a single ticket first, wait for the discount code in the confirmation email and then book the other tickets.
If you have any questions about the conference itself please contact Andrea or Julia, and please contact Gill with any questions about booking.
