Alongside her colleagues Louisa Clarke and Anita Reynolds, Kate now heads up FORTIS, training and developing individuals to be exceptional communicators. Taking techniques used by some of the most respected performers from the world of theatre and performance, FORTIS apply those skills to the commercial sector. Kate and her team work to train confident and credible communicators in any life setting. Having trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and obtaining a BA Hons in acting and later an MA in musical theatre, Kate has had a successful career in television, radio and theatre for the last 20 years. She has played a variety of characters in both Welsh and English productions, voiced countless radio programmes and audiobooks as well as having performed in some of the UK’s and Ireland’s most prestigious theatres and concert halls. Kate now draws on her wealth of experience and expertise in communication to provide bespoke workshops, one to one sessions and coaching others in performance and communication.
"A thoroughly enjoyable session, packed full of hints and tips and useful advice. Kate was delightful, really easy to listen to and I thought she did a great job and gave us a really fun 90 minutes at a time when everyone was feeling tired."
"Fantastic way to assist in improving presentation skills. Much better than any other courses of this type that I have done before."
"An excellent session, one of my most enjoyable of the week. Again it was something different and an area/topic that you can and need to continually improve and learn."
"What a presenting style - outstanding. All of the content could IMMEDIATELY be used. I used it again today, and will again tonight when I give a talk at a students' union event. Fantastic."
