We’re trying something a little different this year. The MA Summit will still span four days, but we’ve split it across two weeks to give you space to breathe, reflect, and recharge. This new format is designed to be more accessible (especially for part-time colleagues) and to make the experience more sustainable for everyone.

We know how busy you are, and we hope that by breaking up the event, it gives you more room to dedicate time to the sessions that matter most to you. The flow of the event this year is also more in keeping with a traditional conference, with a mix of plenaries, workshops, and networking opportunities.

And don’t worry if you can’t make every session, recordings and slides will be shared after the event so you can catch up on anything you missed!

Day One: The Approach 

• Kick-off with sector updates and economic insights tailored for HE finance professionals.
• A practical tax update for management accountants.
• Breakout sessions to sharpen your skills in cash flow forecasting, SORP, and team development.
• Explore behaviour change and hear real-world transformation stories from RCA and Courtauld.
• Wrap up with a sector-wide “map check” and interactive reflections.

 Day Two: The Compass Check

• A keynote on leading change in HE.
• Sessions on harnessing data, Power BI dashboards, and digital transformation.
• Breakouts covering course costings, contract management, and data-led decision making.
• A thought-provoking closing keynote (Camilla Cavendish invited) and interactive wrap-up.

 Day Three: The Summit

• Keynotes and workshops focused on courageous leadership and business partnering.
• Breakouts on lean finance, holistic management accounts, and leadership development.
• A session on using GenAI to enhance your professional brand.
• A visionary look at the future of HE and the skills needed to thrive.

 Day Four: Higher Ground

• Strategic sessions on academic portfolio planning, budget holder training, and bridging finance with institutional strategy.
• Tools for planning in dynamic environments.
• A motivational closing session with Charlie Wardle (The Mountain Coach).

 Booking & Discounts

When you book your first ticket, your confirmation email will include a 20% discount code for colleagues at your HEP.
Use this code for any additional bookings to reduce the cost to £76 + VAT per ticket.

Tip: If you’re booking for multiple people, book one ticket first, wait for the code, then book the rest. This helps avoid refund requests.
