Monthly drop-ins were scheduled between January and July 2026 for any BUFDG member with general queries on claims, system issues, Ts&Cs, Monitoring Officer inconsistencies etc. to attend and raise queries with members of both the Horizon Guarantee and wider ops teams, due to a high level of Innovate UK specific compliance queries arising through the Research Finance Forum. The planned six months of drop-ins concluded in July 2026. Following a review of attendance and queries arising, BUFDG and IUK agreed the drop-in series has been valuable and that engagement should continue on a quarterly basis from autumn 2026, with a representative group of BUFDG members attending these meetings as Innovate UK 'champions'. Notes and updates from these discussions will be published after each meeting, and important updates will be shared via discussion board and MS Teams updates, and via the Research Finance Forum.
