Spring tax courses
04 December 2019 Amanda Darley, Head of Operations and Engagement
We've just opened the booking for four tax courses in the Spring. Dates are shown below and you can click on the links to find more details and booking information:
3 March: Corporation Taxes - What you need to know - this practical one day courseaimed at anyone responsible for tax within their university, including tax managers, VAT managers, or accountants;
18 March: Introduction to VAT in HE - our ever-popular introduction to the strange and complex world of VAT in Higher Education. It is aimed at VAT/Tax Managers and other finance professionals who are responsible for completing a university VAT return, providing internal VAT advice in a university, and/or working with professional advisers on university projects. Anyone new to the HE sector and working on VAT issues would benefit.
26 March: Introduction to VAT on Land & Property in HE - this course will review the key areas of property and construction VAT, identifying risks and opportunities, and where expert help is valuable and essential. It is aimed at finance or estates staff with an existing working knowledge of VAT.
31 March: Update on Land & Property VAT in HE - Martin will review recent case law and HMRC policy affecting property and construction VAT, and consider the implications for the HE sector. You will get most from the day if you already have a good working knowledge of VAT and property, and come along with experiences to share and discuss.
We will also be running a webinar on practical tips for the CGS with Centurion VAT Specialists. We hope to run the webinar on 30 January and will publish details as soon as possible. So save the date now!
