Sensitive goods - IPR and OPR

List of sensitive goods when declaring to inward or outward processing lists those goods which are classed as sensitive. Sensitive goods are those that will have the biggest economic impact on the UK. (This list was updated as at 1 June 2022.)

The number of goods you’re going to process

You will need to calculate the number of goods you want to import over the period of your authorisation. This will be either up to:

  • 3 years for sensitive goods
  • 5 years

Sensitive goods are those that will have the biggest economic impact on the UK.

The lists are quite detailed and there is a separate annex covering each of the following areas - but blood and fats are included in the "meat" sectors:

  • Beef and veal 
  • Pigmeat sector
  • Sheepmeat and goat meat sector
  • Eggs sector
  • Poultry meat 
  • Apiculture products
  • Cereals 
  • Rice 
  • Sugar 
  • Olive oil 
  • Milk and milk-products 
  • Wine sector
  • Fishery products

Ethyl alcohol and spirit products falling under certain Classification codes and unmanufactured tobacco are also included.
