Lendwise Student Loans
Lendwise is a specialist loan provider dedicated to education finance for UK residents who are looking to finance their studies at leading UK universities and course providers
To ensure the university remains accessible to individuals who may not have access to all of the funds required for enrolment, Lendwise can be “sign-posted” on the Fees & Funding page of your site. What we do
Lendwise aims to reduce the funding gap with its low-cost and flexible student loans for aspiring individuals who have the merit and desire to pursue their university education but don’t have all the funds. We do so with our affordable and flexible private student loan.
How it works
Eligible students apply online (all year round)
Undertaking postgraduate study
Domiciled in the UK
At application stage, only a “soft” credit search is carried out (does not affect credit score)
Lendwise reverts within 2 business days and successful applicants upload certain documents
Tuition fees sent directly to the university while personal expenses are transferred to the student
Loan repayments
FT students: begin after graduation plus up to additional 6 months grace period available
PT students: begin 1 month after funds are disbursement
The loan period can go up to 10 years to ensure monthly repayment amount is manageable
No fees/penalties for early repayment of the loan or making overpayments (students not locked in)
Things to note
Lendwise is authorised and regulated by the FCA
Lendwise Loan primarily for tuition fees so often used as a “top-up” to Government Masters Loan
“Sign-posting” Lendwise is simply informing students of a dedicated external alternative
Lendwise is sign-posted by many existing Universities & Business Schools across the UK
No personal data is shared/needed between Lendwise & University
No legal agreement needed between Lendwise & University
