MTCD: Making the Tax Conference Digital

21 July 2020      Amanda Darley, Head of Operations and Engagement

Though we would have dearly loved to have welcomed you to the tax conference in person in June, that obviously wasn’t possible this year. So instead, we’re excited to invite you to our first ever virtual tax conference in October. We’ll be holding sessions over a three-day period from 6-8 October, and we’re looking forward to ‘seeing’ you there.

The conference is aimed at tax and payroll managers/staff, and others responsible for tax in their HEI, but would be of interest to FDs and Deputy FDs, and potentially HR staff as well. We’ll be providing the usual mix of fantastic technical sessions covering all tax angles including VAT, corporation tax, employment taxes, overseas issues etc., and we’ll also be giving you the opportunity to chat with and get to know your counterparts in other universities, though not in the usual way in the bar (bringing your own pint is optional!). You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with advisers and speakers in one-to-one meetings or groups. And although there will be no bucking bronco or coconut shy this year, there will be lots going on to keep you engaged and give you plenty to think (and talk!) about.

Find out more about the conference and book your place here. Tickets cost £150 (including VAT) for the entire conference (sessions will all be recorded and will be available exclusively to conference attendees after the event, so if you’re unable to make it to every session or even to every day of the conference live, you can easily catch up afterwards). A 20% discount will be available for additional bookings from the same HEI (i.e. additional bookings cost £120 inc. VAT). Check out the details and book here!

If you've got any queries about the conference please contact Andrea or Julia.
