31 October 2017 Michael Edwards,
It seems that compliance with the National Minimum Wage (“NMW”) regulations is becoming something of a hot potato. HMRC are concentrating substantial firepower by way of resource to this topic, including inspections at several HEIs, and the sanctions for getting it wrong in terms of cost and potential reputational damage can be substantial. A couple of the Big Four firms of advisers are running awareness-raising seminars that I would like to bring to members’ attention.
First, E&Y are holding a seminar in Manchester on 6 November. This is a general session aimed at all types of employer. Details can be found here; should you wish to attend please send an email request to Veronika Vancourova.
Second, PwC are running a seminar on 1 December in London for our members, with a specific focus on NMW compliance in the HE sector. For further information and to book, follow this link.
